The Magician

Depth Psychology

Facing forward, as though addressing an audience, the Magician stands before a small table upon which are arranged several objects: a cup, coins, a sword, and a rod. These implements lie ready to hand, the instruments of his art.
Upon his head sits a hat with a lofty brim, lending him a slightly theatrical air, as though he were both performer and officiant.
With a wand in one hand, he reaches toward the heavens. The other hand points toward the earth, forming a gesture that suggests the channelling of forces between the two realms.
Around him, flowers and vegetation grow in abundance.
He presents as a beguiling figure. Can he be trusted?
